In Loving Memory


Hein, Chester Burton fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, died peacefully after a three-year battle against myelodysplastic syndrome at midnight, Saturday, October 19, 2013, while his wife of over 60 years held his hand in hers and sang him their song, Too Young, which was their first dance at their wedding July 18, 1953. He celebrated his 80th birthday on August 26, 2013. Chester was an I.R.S. Enrolled Agent and accountant and prepared income taxes for over 68 years. He was co-owner with his wife of Hein Tax Service in Saint Ann, Missouri, a family business his late mother, Lovell Fellerman (née Stewart), founded in 1946. Chester was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War Era while stationed at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in Santa Ana, California, and was the Finance Officer of the American Legion Thoman-Boothe Post 338 in Overland, Missouri. A 1958 graduate of Parks College of Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Administration, he also earned his Masters in Business Administration at Saint Louis University in 1963. Chester lived his life the way he wanted to and inspired his family, friends, physicians and clients as an untiring, driven, and dedicated man. Chester was a dear and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He is survived by his wife Marilyn R. (Phelan) Hein; daughter Renée B. Nanneman (Steve Punch); sons Randal B. Hein (and friend, Sally Kinkead), Richard B. Hein (Maria); and grandchildren, Ana Maria Hein and John Henry Hein. Services: Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Saint Anselm Parish Church at the Abbey of Saint Louis, 500 South Mason Road, Creve Coeur, Missouri, 63141. Visitation at 9:30 a.m. with the Mass to follow at 11 a.m., with interment immediately thereafter at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or the charity of your choice . KRIEGSHAUSER BROTHERS
